Default New Garden New Grower.2

So last year i started a post that i continued for most of the growing season after getting my own place with a garden i decided to get stuck in and see what happens (thread will still be around if anyone is interested)

A kind of mini blog within the forum i guess.

So this is year two and i get to start from the beginning of the growing season rather than trying to catch up like last year. I also planted some fruit trees/ bushes that i cant wait to see if they fruit this year and clematis that i want to take over my wire fence EXCITED haha

So this was my garden in march last year before i started anything

My garden at is best during the summer 2010

I have started this year my cleaning up brambles that were growing all over my fence and planted a some rows of broad beans outside and planted some cherry toms and okra in pots and put them on my windowsill.
Also just put some red onion bulbs out today.

This is my garden today Pretty grotty but meh lol

Last year was a pretty successful harvest but I had a lot of waste from some crops I used very little of like cabbage, lettuce, radish and will not be growing these again this year.

New things I am trying this year will be a few different kinds of beans, beetroot and gherkins along with the things I loved last year like carrots, onions, courgettes, sweetcorn, strawberries and a few other fruits.

I would love to be able to get myself a little greenhouse this year but dont think I will be able to till next year at the earliest got a lot of things to tick off the list before that lol

Feel free to give me any advice, criticisms or just any sort of feedback

Looking good Pacey!

No criticisms from me, keep the pics coming and keep us all updated on how you're getting on! Hopefully, weather permitting, I'll get my garden sorted this weekend!! But I've definitely got some catch up!!

And on the greenhouse front, it's a good idea to invest when you can! Chillies and peppers love a warm greenhouse in the summer

I wish it was a huge garden!! I've just recently expanded my patch at home, and I've also got a half size allotment that isn't in great shape atm!

When the weathers good I'll get a few snaps and put them up

Got a Goji berry plant and some seeds from wilkos today I know its still a bit cold but couldnt resist planting the Goji already if it looks bad I will bring it back inside till later put it up against the back fence to I can tie it up against that when It grows.

It says it needs full or partial shade hmmm not sure if my spot is sunny enough. A few rays manage to get through the gaps in the fence but full sun dont really reach until late on and only for a hour or two but dont really have anywhere else it could go :/

The crops you liked last year sound good to me. Growing the things you like is the best way and if you have not got a lot of space makes good sense. You could also grow some outside toms in pots which would add to your list.
