what can i do to bring up the PH balance of one of my beds for this years planting ?
just done soil test and one bed is very acidic

it is too late to lime ?

can i mix in shop compost ?

I always add double the amount is says on the packet if your ground does not respond to the pwdered lime by the winter mix in about 4 times the amount in november or see if you can get some crushed chalk, this is much more solid lumps and releases calcium over a longer period and mix this with the soil over the winter
