Default 1st Veg is a monster

My wife was asking what veg would be ready first, I said the lettuce are ready now and maybe the radish, I noticed one of the radish was popping out on the ground slightly, I pulled it up and couldn't believe it!

Bigger than a carrot, that is a standard disposable lighter at the side

they are Ostergrub rosa, if that makes any sense? I bought them locally here in france, being a newbie I don't really have any secrets the french climate helps, the soil is wonderful and I water them every night.

there may be some bigger ones as I still have 4 rows in.

I was surprised they tasted so nice, I thought they may be a little bland with being so big, I must admit, the ones that where slightly smaller tasted nicer

I love the French radishes, I bought some seeds myself in Calais and they're way better than the standard globe radish we get over here in England. I just took out my first lot a couple of days ago from the allotment and they about blew my head off with their heat French radis [sic] rule!
