First spuds and spring onions, the photo shows yesterdays crop, the spuds bizarrely sprouted up in a raised bed which had not had any in before (I only use plastic spud sacks due to limited space) and I haven't a clue why they have grown in the raised bed (Two others also growing approx 2ft away from the ones dug up. No cross contamination of compost etc. All I did was dig in a bag of manure.
I only dug the potato plant out as it was in the way, yet to my pleasant surprise we had around 1kg of new spuds growing underneath it! See photos as attached of my first crop and my spud sacks which are yet to harvest. That said due to the very dry weather they are consuming a lot of water to say the least!

My sister had the same (she had grown potatoes the year before) all the potatoes came up and she left them to grow. Then she stated digging and had lots of new potatoes. I always thought that stray potatoes never produced anything
