Default Planting Cucumbers

Is it okay to plant cucumbers deeper than they were in the original pots? Looks to me as though the nodules up the stem will produce additional roots if planted up to the first leaf.

Hi there, I would be a bit wary about putting them any deeper. The stem is quite soft. Any tendency to overwater will result in the stem rotting off and the plants keeling over.

I think tomatoes tend to be much stronger plant - cucumber stems are very soft and easy to rot. I personally wouldn't plant them deeper then the original pot line.

You could always try one and see what happens and tell us on here.
