Hi Paulch. I've not grown that paticular heirloom variety but all I grow are heirloom toms, 14 plants 7 different varieties, and I treat them much the same way as I would any other tom variety. The big problem with heirlooms is that they are more prone to disease but I have found that mulching and allowing for air circulation goes a long way in preventing that, and I'm willing to put up with it because I think they taste so much better. I think you're on the right track in doing what you're doing. I'll be interested to know how you like the taste of that variety when you pick some.
