poppy seeds

can i pick the poppy seeds from my garden and add them to the topping of my bread and buns???

Hi Greenfingerbag, that depends on the variety of poppy - the Oriental Poppy or Opium Poppy (Papaver Somniferum) is not edible but the seeds of the Field Poppy or Corn Poppy (Papaver Rhoeas) are edible - HOWEVER, the leaves are toxic so must not be eaten!

Try "Smoking" them No mention of this being,, "Harmful",
