Default Discoloured/Damaged Beetroot Leavers

I am growing beetroot in my raised bed with other veggies and they seem to be growing fine however some of the leaves have started to wilt and go yellow. I was not sure what to do with these leaves so I have started to cut the more damaged ones off - is this right?

Apart from the last few days we have had quite alot of rain over the past few weeks (central scotland) so I am wondering if this is causing the damaged leaves?

Can anyone help/advise?

Thanks

We grow our beetroot in raised beds. They leaves have also gone yellow. But I just leave them. I think it's because the beds dry out quickly and the soil dries. We had the same last year - the beetroot is still very nice. So doesn't matter really.
