Hi Bill,
Remove male flowers as soon as you see them or the cues will be bitter. Female flowers will appear eventually. Suggest some form of shading, like Coolglass, to protect the leaves from direct suns rays. If you have a slab path in the greenhouse pour water on it in the morning to keep the humidity up. Watch out for overheating in very hot weather keeping door open if necessary. Brian

Thanks Brian for advice is my first year growing cues so not to sure ,have read you need to take male flowers off or they will be bitter, didnt know if that was for my type of cue.
The greenhouse has a pebble floor ,do put water on when hot to raise humidity, these are my second lot this year as leaves dried up and plants died.

You can always by all female cucumbers and these don't get male flowers - so there will be no bitter cucumbers

i cant help here other than to ask are they indoor cucs as i know last year i grew some that were for outside which if yours are would solve your overheating problem. With my chillis when the weather is really hot i bring them out in the mornings so they dont dry out while im in work.

Greenhouse cucumber plant requires care for its better growth. For greenhouse, select the right variety of best cucumber like Petita, Aidas, Carman and Danimas. The temperature after germination must be at a minimum of 60°F (15°C) or 70°F (21°C).Make the compost thoroughly moist.
