Hi!
I am new here and also very new to gardening (started last year but because of lack of time it is a bit behind, will have lots more time coming year). I have a small space in my garden (I have space for 8 by 6 meter in total, now the patch is about 2 by 6 meter) that I want to turn into an ornamental vegetable garden. It is a square shape but I really don't like it as the rest of the garden has very organic shapes and it doesn't fit in at all... so have a few questions to start with hope you all can help.Do I need to have 3 or 4 identical sized beds to be efficient with my vegetables year after year? Any tips on how to make the plot more organically shaped? The plot is south facing (at the south end of my garden) and I want to create some 'height' with obelisks to grow peas/ runner beans etc, so I guess they should be in the north side of the plot? and that will mean that I have to line up the beds from east to west if I want to rotate between the beds? Any tips on very cheap borders that for the beds that do fit into a cottage style garden? I attached a picture of the available space. Any tips on how to make this look beautiful and be effective are very welcome!!! Thanks ![]() DSCF9169Web.jpg |
