Default Sourcing seeds

Help me please! I must admit when I walk into a garden centre or look at the internet there are SO MANY options of seeds I get slightly dizzy and then all these different suppliers as well

I grew a lot of things from seed myself last year and found that one particular brand (dont think I am allowed to mention that here) which didn't come up at all whereas from other brands it all went really easy, but the brand I liked doesn't have all the things I want to have next year.

I really want veg that also look pretty/ special. Can anyone recommend what supplier they use, that would be a start!

Thanks!

Default Pretty Veg

I always use the very well known seed supplier who's initials include the letters T and M without actually mentioning them. They are the most relieable I've found. Their internet service is second to none and a really natty feature is if you order osmething they hang on to it until its time to plant it and then they deliver - really cool.
As for pretty veg you cant beat a fsntastci show runner bean flowers minw were stunning this year. I also think courgette flowers are lovely but the plants do suffer from powdery mildew as the year goes on. Peppers and chillies are alway pretty too.
I like to have pretty veg as I grow in containers as you can see from my blog and most are on my patio so its nice if they're pretty.

Hi, you can certainly name seed suppliers and post links to them, to help all our members buy great quality seeds.

Thompson & Morgan is my favourite seed supplier - the seeds are top quality and the germination rates are superb. Here's a link:-

Hi kfan. I like T&M seeds too especially for flowers. We get them at seed racks in most of the big chain or do-it-yourself stores over here. For most of my veggie seeds I go to Baker Creek. They deal exclusivly in heirloom veg and flower seeds. The US shipping rates are very reasonable, $3 US no matter what the size of the order. I know the ship overseas but not sure about the rate. Even if you didn't order anything it's worth a look just to see the variety of veggies they offer, epecially in tomatoes and melons.Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds - 1400 heirloom garden seeds!

I can't wait now to start sowing!!! But still lots to do to prep the garden before winter first. Thanks for all your tips! Seems that T&M has generally the thumbs up so will go with them for most stuff (and their delivery feature sounds great).

The baker creek is perfect Husker, just what I was looking for for some more special stuff such as the purple tomatillo
