England's fruit growing industry was founded by Henry VII when he ordered cherry orchards to be planted and this weekend that heritage will be celebrated at Brogdale Farm the home of the world's largest fruit collection. Brogdale Farm grows 3,500 heritage fruit varieties including over 300 cherry varieties some of which will be used for the cherry festival brew. The weekend will have demonstrations, food tastings and plenty of family entertainment.
Cherry And Strawberry Delights Brogdale Farm, Brogdale Road, Faversham. Saturday 19th July, Sunday 20th July. - 10am - 5pm. Adults - £6. Children - £3. Under 2 - Free.
