Smile Hiya!! From Birmingham

Hiya everyone

I'm joined the forum as I've decided to sort out my garden and start growing some produce. I have never tried to grow anything before - apart from cress at school - so please bear with me if I ask some silly questions, I really am a novice.
I started a blog today and will update frequently. Any tips and advice would be very gratefully received!

Hiya and welcome!
I'm a novice too, so dont worry about asking questions! I grew cress in school aswell, and also planted some sunflowers in my mums garden when i was a kid - and thats about all lol. Now we're trying to grow fruit and herbs... will be interesting!

Question

I spoke to my Mum last night and she reminded me that I had a Strawberry Plant! Forgot all about that one but I remember being amazed that I could actually eat something I'd grown. The world through the eyes of a child is such a different place isn't it?

Sunflowers didn't work out for me, but my sisters were brilliant. Good to know that there are other novices here too, Best of Luck to you!

I have a question about mosaics - I'm literally starting my garden from scratch and plan to put in some sort of tiles/paving across the grass to where I'm going to be growing things. Mosaics are beautiful and are far more interesting than grey paving stones. I'm wondering what I use to stick the glass pieces to the tiles, or if it's better to stick them to a paving stone?

LittleLady ponders...... x

Hey LL, a fellow Brummie novice!

Good luck setting up, looking forward to seeing how you get on.

No idea about mosaics by the way , sorry if you logged on to read advice about that
