Question New

as of a few minutes ago. Am having pumpkin problems. As soon as there is fruit on my pumpkin vines, they dry up and die. Any suggestions to fix my pumpkin problem?

Hi there VGF!! Welcome to our forum!!

Just edited this post to add that I have been having a read and apparently it is not uncommon for pumpkins to wither and die soon after flowering. This might be caused by either poor pollination, over crowding of plants, prolonged periods of cool, cloudy or rainy weather or drought.

LJ,
thanks for your input to my thread. I've been given a link to what the male and female pumpkin flowers look like in a photobucket on pumpkins and it's sped me up to what i'll need to furthur my pumpkin plant tending in my backyard. I hope it is not too late in this season to hand pollinate my pumpkin plant's flowers? Happy gardening LJ.
