Hi all,

My name is Drew my wife Joyce.

We have recently moved from Bucks. to a bungalow in Bridport, Dorset. The garden is quite large, full of trees and established shrubs, many of which have now taken over a garden that must, at one time, have been someones pride and joy. With time we hope to take it back to its original splendour.

There is a small orchard with various apple, pear, cherry and plumb trees all of which require drastic pruning.

As yet there is no vegetable plot, however I will be starting a small one this year as I have other more important work to do inside.

There are 2 greenhouses, 1 a 12' x 8' Halls aluminium and the other a 15' x 6' lean-to complete with a peach tree. I have recently made a 3' 6" x 2'
"Readers Digest" propagator that will be used to start my vegetables with.

Well! that is all for now, I shall be reporting my progress in due course and will no doubt be calling for help now and again.

Regards

Drew

Default Welcome

Hi Drew and Joyce, welcome to the forum. It sounds like you have a fair amount of work to do inside and out, good luck. I would be interested in knowing about your "made" (readers digest) veg starter house, any pics or places to search for instructions would be a great help, cheers paul (stupo74)

Hi Folks,

Thank you for your kind words of welcome.

Paul, I made my propagator from a set of plans I found in an old Readers Digest gardening book. The plans are in Bucks. at present, a friend is using them just now but when they are returned I will forward a copy.

Regards

Drew
