Default Hello, newbie here :-)

Hi evryone,

I have just moved (well in May) to this wonderful house with a huge garden.
One of the first things i did was to dig 2 vegetable patches.

This year i have grown:-
potatoes, cabbage purple sprouting broccoli, brussel sprouts, onions, shallots, red cabbage, beetroot, parsnips, carrots, peas, spinach, sweetcorn, cucumber, broad beans, french beans, assortment of lettuce, spring onions, celery, rocket, basil, rosemary, sage, chives, thyme, corriander, parsley, strawberrys and rhubarb.

Got some blight on the potaoes this year BUt still got a good crop.

This is my first yeat growing the vegetables, i have always had the herbs. Am quite pleased with my crops. I will be needing a lot of advice though as i said this is my first year.

Hope to meet you all soon.
Thanks
Finnster

Thanks for the welcome guys :-)

Been a busy day today in the garden. Managed to pot up my shoots from the strawberries. I have 60 new plants and i havent even started on the alpine strawberries. There are hunderds of shoots on them!

Also managed to buy a walk in poly tunnel thing off ebay after reading this forum. Hopefully that will allow me to grow things on through the autumn / winter.

Great site and i have read lots of advice today.

Thanks guys
Finnster
