Default The one who killed a cactus...

Evening all

I'm Rachel, 26 and live in Stoke on Trent

I've become green fingered in the last 12 months but am still adapting the knack of keeping things alive!!! I've never been very good at keeping anything green living, frequently killing plants as a teenager, including a cactus!!! (I overwatered it!)

I picked up a strawberry and tomato plant in Homebase last year for a bit of fun and by later summer my garden was packed with experiments from aubergine to peppers, spring onions to chillis. I even bought a plastic greenhouse for a tenner in the sale at B&M much to my better half's chagrin!

Alas my tomatoes were my most productive crop of summer one. I got a few strawberries and my first crop of potatoes were not too shoddy either but most other stuff died a death!!

I'm reading books to help me have a productive summer two and am preparing to begin the sowing marathon to grow from seed this year.

The one thing i struggle with is terminology of gardening so I'm hoping fellow members can help

Look forward to talking to you all!

Rachel
