Default Hi from total newbies

Hi all

We are Andrew and Becky. We have just got our first house together and are very keen on getting in to vegetable growing. We have been lucky enough to get a large garden enough so daughter can have her grass to play on plus for us to grow veg.

Any help advise and what ever else you guys can give us would be greatly received. We are planning on doing mainly Root veg we do have a couple of fruit trees planned in and maybe some raspberry canes at some point.

I've had great results with potatoes, carrots, beans and squash. Easy to grow, high yield and great satisfaction. Watch out for wireworms if you're converting lawn. Beans and squash are a bit slow in the beginning, but yield like crazy once they get going.

Good luck - see you in the forums
