Default Hello :D

Just want to say "hi",
I have decide to start growing vegetables (hoping I'm not to late in the year )
I have grown tomato's, strawberry's and herbs, so am now keen to move on to a more varied kitchen garden .
I am starting to grow vegetables that I can harvest seed from at the end of the season as I want to start as I mean to go on .
Any advice about what vegetables can be started at this time of the year will be gratefully appreciated
Nice to meet you all and find a little haven to get advice

Hi Seren, welcome to our forum!!

You have time to sow french beans and peas, but you need to check the back of the pea seed packet for the sowing times because varieties differ, also mange tout, beetroot and in a few weeks pak choi. You will easily be able to save the seed from the beans and peas but do not grow F1 varieties if you want to save the seeds.

hey seren nice to see you in the forum, i have recently planted carrots parsnips beans peas lettuce and beetroot, and im sure there are still loads of other things you can grow now

..as for growing to seed for sustainability i think ill leave that to the proffesionals who will get back to you in due time as im pretty sure thats slightly more complicated in which variety you grow

Thank you for replies ,
I have bought my seeds from a reputable source so I know I can gather seeds from the harvest. But saying that I will most likely look at past posts here to see any advice I can gather.
Thank you for your welcome
I will let you know how I get on (fingers and green thumbs crossed)
