Hello to everybody
I live in Switzerland and started last year for the first time in my life with gardening. I have one raised bed which is 10 meters in length and approx. 1 meter in width, then another smaler one which is approx. 1 meter in square. As I had more vegetables last year as me and my family could eat I have preserved and freezed quite a bit. Now this year I grow more unknown vegetables (at least for my family)... like yellow zucchini, physalis, different sorts of tomatoes, watermelon and melon. I am nearby 40, am married and we have 2 lovely kids (7y. and 3y.). We live in a little house with a dog, a cat and 9 greece turtles. I would love to get in contact with gardeners throughout the world. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask me. ![]() Looking forward, hearing from you again, I remain, with best regards, geensug |

I am also growing yellow 'zucchini' courgette as we call it. I ribbon it with a potato peeler and make a dressing with chilli, garlic, lemon juice and olive oil - it's very tasty. I tried growing physalis (cape gooseberry) bur couldn't get it to germinate. Would love to grow melon but don't think we have the climate here in Scotland. Welcome to the forum. |
