Hi Tee Gee and a warm welcome to our forum!!

Wow! Your plots look absolutely magnificent and your vegetable plants look superb!! You must spend alot of time and work looking after them. A couple of quick questions - why are you growing your climbing french beans in the tunnel and what do you do with so much produce??

Not really! at least not as much as some people on our plots.

Generally during the growing season I spend 2-3 hours for 4-5 days each week.

Its a variety thing!

They are a variety called 'Cobra' and they produce much better under cover than outdoors.

I can get two or three times more beans growing them this way, meaning less plants, less seeds and it is cheaper!

A packet will last at least three seasons, although even here I economise and save seed for the following year!

Eat most of it, then I keep my Son, Daughter and Grandkids well supplied as well.

Plus I tend to look after the newbies on the site by giving them the odd bit of produce in the hope that it aspires them.

Ahhhh......you feed the "tribe" - do they give you requests for what they want growing aswell??

My favourite climbing french bean is Blue Lake which always gives me a good crop and it tastes really good aswell.

No need really as I raised them I know their likes and dislikes although the in-law element sometimes asks!

In fact I think I just garden/grow to give to them!

No problem with my grandkids and their five a day, if its from grandads allotment its scoffed.

In fact my two youngest have some pots and growbags that they call 'their allotment'

Yes they are a good bean but if you ever eat Cobra you won't go back to these!
