Default newbie hi all

hi' living in lincolnshire and the fields are full of cauliflowers and cabbages.
so how come My caulis have all blown and run to seed !
i watered the damn things but no they repay me by laughing at me.
so how come the farmers do nothing to them and they all come up smilling?
yes i know its not the place for a groan or question...

Hi Whorlicks, welcome to our forum!!

That's what cauliflowers do! They look fabulous one day and the next they have gone passed it. So always harvest when the cauli's look fab and freeze them if necessary. Be sure to bend one of the larger leaves over the cauliflower head to protect it from the rain which helps to stop it spoiling. BTW you can still eat the leaves but not the massive ones.
