Default Hello all

Good morinng . Im joining as I would like to be in touch with others who are growing some veges in threir gardens.

We have only a small garden and no good soil so are growing in raised beds with topsoil for the last 2 years and great yields from beans spinach salad veg and herbs

Good netting and fleeces and lots of watering have helped

Its great fun

Anyone doing the same ?

All the best

Hi,
My garden before I spent several thousand on palm trees, 8 tonnes of sea pebbles and enough decking to make a new aircraft carrier also had awful soil. That said since I've done the work I have squeezed in three raised link a board raised beds, endless containers, and three mini greenhouses, and yet it doesn't look cluttered (so I am told). My crops last year from my raised beds were outstanding with roughly 200% higher yield than the year before. As a stay at home father I also utilised the space to grow and sell around £3k's worth of plants. So welcome and yes it is great fun, and to be honest I can't wait until next years growing season - I learnt so much last year as to what sells well and what doesn't. A lot of trial and error and a lot of reading on this forum hopefully has me set up to earn a second income next year - so yes I would agree it is fun! Hoping to get my daughter involved next year
