Hi All
I joined the forum today and hoping you will all be able to give me some advice and tips to help me have success at growing vegetables. I have quite a large plot and hoping to grow the following: potatoes, onions, carrots, peppers, tomatoes, lettuce, courgette, aubergines, butternut squash, cucumbers. I tried to start them by seed but havent seem to have much luck, only managed to get lettuce, ball courgettes and onions growing so far. Have brought plantlets to get me started and hoping to have late crops with my own seeds. Also have potatoes growing at the moment too. Any advice will be excellent. Thanks |

Hi April 1988, and welcome
![]() ![]() . I always buy starter plant for peppers, tomatoes, and eggplant, mostly because I just don't have a good place to start seeds, and get along great. Carrots, squash, and cuc seeds I sow right into the soil after it's warmed up, say after a couple of weeks when the daytime temps have been 75+*f and it's been over50*f at night. Good luck ![]() . |
