Default Hello from the tiny garden

Just started reading this website as a newcomer to the gardening world. Well, perhaps not entirely new - my Grandfather could grow plants quicker than ear wax and most of my childhood was spent in the garden.

Now I'm 30 and have a house with a teensy tiny garden and have been bitten by the bug! Just this weekend I bought planters as I don't have space to dig a plot. I do have a large border and a piece of grass the size of a bath tub though

So far I have got some little courgette plants, one tomato plant and some baby salad potatoes chitting, plus lettuce and rocket.

My biggest learning so far is that Wilkinsons is my friend and the garden centre eats money. Just think, if the Government went into the garden centre business they'd soon wipe out the national debt.

Can't promise to be very good at giving advice and will ask lots of daft questions so bear with me.

Can't wait to get home and sow some carrots and beans this evening!

Here's to Spring!

Hi MrsB and welcome. Love the bit about the gov. getting into the garden supply biz but over here I think you'd have to start filling out the paperwork now to get seed in maybe 5 years lol. Good luck with you're growing.
