Just thought I'd better say hi before asking loads of questions!

I've always loved gardening and after many years of wanting to, I've finally got around to growing my own veg. This year is a 'discovery' year for me. After reading loads of online forums, I've decided to join just here because this forum I feel offers everything I need.

We live in a small two up two down terraced house and only have a small back yard but it faces West and gets full sun all afternoon and evening from spring to autumn.

After a lot of online searching we finally found the perfect thing for our 2m x 1m free space in front of the kitchen window, a "Culti Cave Plastic Greenhouse".

As you can see, we're still waiting for it to arrive

We're going to be growing from seed Aubergines, Beef Tomatoes (Faworyt), Sweet Peppers, Courgettes, and mange tout, and in some long tubs - spring onions, Chantenay carrots, Palla Rosso and raddish. Oh and I've planted some Red Barron onions in a big flower pot I'm also growing some pick and grow mixed lettuce leaves in the porch.

Still waiting for some of the seeds to arrive. I know we're starting a bit late in the year, but hey, better late than never.

Oh, I think I should add that I love snails and keep Giant African snails as pets, as well as feeding our many hundreds of garden snails.

I haven't had 'the chat' with the garden snails yet, but will do soon. If they're anything like the ants it'll be fine - a few years ago I got fed up with the ants in the front of the house so I told them in no uncertain terms that I'd leave them alone if they leave us alone, and since then, no ants in the house, but still loads of them quite happy in the front garden

Ali.
