Hi John, Welcome to the forum. I live in Hertfordshire and my wife and I have also had our allotment a long time, 18 years now I think. It is the biggest part of my life and I love the outdoors. I visit twice a day to tend to the bantams and potter about at the same time! Over the years we have tried all sorts of vegetables but now we only grow what we know we will eat.Great!
