Default Hello..

Hi Guys,

My name is Dave and im 23 years old, we just got ourselves a house and i got a load of BnQ and homebase vouchers for christmas so that i can get started on getting stuff to help with my garden and my long awaited vegetable patch which i have always wanted to have. I am young and i am new at this so please be patient

Along with the urge to produce some of my own food I also enjoy cycling, walking, picnics and taking photos of brilliant views. I also have an 8month old son who i would love to get eating some of my own grown veg as he is self weaning already.

So here is what i have to start with (there is a small patio which is 3 slaps outwards and 8 slaps sideways(rather small)):

So the overall plan for the garden(a very rough drawing). a basic small shed in the top left corner, the vegtable patch just in front surrounded by a mini picket fence with a small cobble path round the outside of it, on the right will be the bbq with its own mini patio, i will also be extending the patio out by one more slap as there its a little small at the moment, i shall be painting the fence green (except for the trellis at the top of the fence), the rest of the garden will stay grass although i will repair it as that grass is in a state. finally i will be putting guttering and a water butt on the shed as we have no water tap out the rear and i would like to reuse the rain water if possible.:

The Vegetble Patch:

I have no idea lol, thats basically why i am here. i know i would like some grapes, berries (black berries and straw berries), cucumber, carrot, mushroom, potatoes, sweetcorn, runner beans, peas, lettuce, onion, corrguette, califlower, brocoli, Pasley, Chives, tyme, origamo and rosemary

o and forgot to mention its a north facing garden so im thinking of doing the vegtable patch in rows from left to right (West to east?)

Thanks for reading,

Dave
