Question Help indoor plant pestcontrol needed!!

Hi,

I have been growing plants and herbs indoors for 2 years now however I have had a persistent pest problem with my indoor plants. I can temporarily remove the pest but it always returns! I do not know what the pest is either but it only attacks my indoor plants. The pest starts off as small green eggs/insects under the leaves and when developed leaves cobweb-like structures over the leaves and stems. The leaves become torn and eventually fall off. I assumed the pest to be aphids/spider mites but have no idea how to tell and treat appropriately. The plants attacked are herbs and chilli plants...does anyone have any advice??!

you will be fighting a never ending war of attrition with them unless you remove their food source and and thoroughly clean the room(s) where they have been. this is pertty much the only way to totally irradicate the problem, even with chemicals. without knowing exactly what bugs you have, it's hard to offer any useful advice about effective control measures. if you can reduce their number to an acceptable level then just keep doing it....
