Nematodes for slug control

Has anyone used these and where did you buy them? I have just read about them in my new Alan Titchmarsh book (see books thread for great price) and wondered if anyone could tell me if they are sucsessful. We live backing onto large overgrown fields and tend to have a large population of the beasties.
