Primrose is on a distinguished road
Default Red Ants

I planted two rows of dwarf beans and only a couple of plants came up so I decided to plant more in the same place.
As I lightly dug over the ground I brought to the surface a load of red ant eggs (I left them for a while for the blackbird).
Could this be the reason the beans didn't show ?

Primrose I have searched today and it appears that ants aren't really a pest in the garden apart from farming aphids. I absolutely hate them and last year there was an ants nest in my vegetable garden which I got rid of by opening up the nest and pouring a kettle of boiling water over them. The speed they vanished!!
