Default pest question

I have just begun gardening again after years. I didn't have much luck with my first garden so, am looking for help.

Something is eating my pole beans. I have lots of chipmunks around and so have chickenwire around them, but the top is open. I think it is some kind of bug. Does anyone have any ideas, I really love green beans and don't want to lose mine.

I just read about aspirin and wonder if that would help. If anyone could help, I would appreciate it.

Thanks

Hi Chris! What do the leaves look like? Are there any pests under the leaves? Could the damage be caused by the chipmunks as the wire netting is open at the top?

That is possible. I just went out to take a look and can see no pests on them at all. They have quite large holes and some are nearly completely eaten. I will cover them today and make sure that those chipmunks can't sneak in.

Thanks for your help!
