Runnerbean, it sounds like Powdery Mildew. It can be a sign that the plants are short of water, also that they are planted too close together for the air to circulate through them. I'm not sure about a cure. I have never worried when my courgettes and squashes get powdery mildew.

I seem to remember reading that you could use milk and just did a search on the internet for
powdery mildew milk and this was the first answer from google Got Powdery Mildew? Get Milk! Check some of the other sites out and I seem to remember it needs diluting. Good luck Cheers |
