Angry Cauliflower leaves look like lace

Does anyone know what I can spray on my cauliflower to get rid of whatever is eating them? The leaves are full of holes, they are beginning to look like lace. I searched every inch of them and there is nothing on them, but could japanese beetles be the problem? I have seen a few of them here and there lately.

Hi Chris, after searching for cauliflower pests in the U.S. it would seem that you are correct about the Japanese beetles. All the other pests would have larvae or caterpillars visible on the leaves but the adult Japanese beetles will eat just about everything leaving the plants leaves looking like lace.

There are some Japanese beetle traps on this link.
