Default Mushrooms growing in my pots and beds

Hi, i seem to be getting loads of mushrooms sprouting up in my soil and in my compost which i use for my seedlings. Does anyone know if they would be poisonous and how do i get rid of them, i seem to be spending lots of time picking them out individually.

Hope someone can help

Kindest regards
Leanne

Whether they hold any problem for you or your plants is going to depend upon what sort of mushroom they are. So you need to identify what you've got growing. Probably the quickest way is to do an Internet search. Is it your own home-made compost? Did you buy it? Is it new or old compost? It doesn't happen to be spent mushroom compost does it?

The compost is from a fresh bag of miracle gro organic multipurpose, and the raised beds are filled with rowlawn soil that i purchased last year. I never had any problems last year so they came as a bit of a surprise. I'll see if i can take a picture and load it on here. Thanks for the advice, i will start trawling the net to see what i can come up with
