Hi all! I am new to the forum and I hope you will be able to help me.
I have 11 Cherry Tomato plants which I have grown from a seed in containers. Once they were big enough and the weather was good I took them out in the garden. They were fine, but from some time are showing signs for some problem. The problem areas are only on the leaves. I am feeding them regularly with tomato feed and I water them regularly too. There are small insects which are on the plants and I have sprayed them twice with bug killer for veggies. You can see what the insects look like and what is the condition of the leaves. I have big book for gardening but I am not sure what their problem is and what is the treatment. I don't want them to die because they have so many fruits.... Thank you in advance for the help!!! |

Hi Silentgoddess,
I have had a quick look at my books here, can you tell me if only the lower leaves have so far been infected, are the stems of the plants showing any blackened patches?? Looking at your pics, i can find 2 similar looking ref pictures here, the 1st indicates tomato leaf mould, the other is potato blight. When watering, did you splash the leaves, as this could have scorched them in the recent hot spell.? I am no expert, but i am sure that someone here will come up with the right solution for you, cheers stupo. |

I water them directly in the pots. The only time they can get water on the leafs from rain. The spots are just on the leafs, more visible on the lower leafs. But there is some on the upper ones too. And most affected are the leafs on the point of the branch. No fruit or stem are affected in any way. They are in very good condition.
