Hi all,
Thanks so much for al your help and advice so far - it really is appreciated. I have another question... all of a sudden I have tiny black flies around the stems of my tomato plants in the greenhouse (in growbags.) So far I have just sprayed water on them in the evening but they are still there. Can anyone help with what they are? If they need to gotton rid of? and if so, how? (non-chemically if poss.) I also have something slimey that is trying its utmost to ruin my cucumber plants (also in growbags in greenhouse.) I noticed that a couple of the tiny cucumbers growing (femspot) have gone yellow!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is this from the snail or slug thats feasting on them?? There are also patches on another cucumber and one plant has none growing now!! Thanks in advance for your kind help and advise. Alexis |

Thanks so much Tigerella - just made me smile to read that all is ok
![]() I will snip the yellow cucumbers off and now i know the flies are ok, i will perhaps just try some tape for them to be caught on. As for the snail/slug, I can't find the little begger - I think he hides and comes out when I'm not in there to have a feast! Maybe I could try a beer trap - do I just put some near the growbag in a small dish? Thanks again |

Hi Alexis,
If all else fails, there is always "Marmite" He will find the little blighter, he is the "slug watch" expert. I have not heard from him in a while, but i am sure that if you contact "Lil" at number 28, she will pass the message on, cheers, stupo |
