Default Moles

I have a problem with moles (not spooks) digging up my lawn. I am surrounded by fields and that is where they come from. I have tried a machine that vibrates and suposedly keeps them away. They dug it up! Any sugestions?

Trap it, sounds harsh but those vibtating things only scare them away till they come back later. Buy a scissor type trap and put it in a recently used run, tip though, try to touch the trap as little as possible before setting as moles have a very accute sense of smell. Also make sure as little light as possible gets in to the tunnel where the trap is located, i tried a couple of said cures like 'jayes fluid' ect to no avail but within a day of buying a scissor type trap i caught the little bugger and my lawn in mole free since

Hi. Thanks for that. I agree that the vibrating ones are expensive and useless.

Default smoke them out!

I have that issue her in MA. I have used smoke bombs. They work famously! I got the from mcgregorfence. But Im sure you can get them any place. You drop them in the hole and cover them all up and they dont come back.....It may sound a bit cruel but I have tried to reason with them and they didnt want to.

Good luck!

You could try this 'mole free' powder to get rid of them humanely. I tried it cos it's very cheap and eco-friendly, but found it worked brilliantly!

And the best thing about it is it's called 'Holey Moley'!!!

you could try accepting moles have just as much right to your garden as you do.

they make one or two holes here and there - humans have completely re-engineered the globe to suit their needs - give them a break

Put up some "No moles please" signs.

You'll need to make the writing quite large, as their eyesight isn't very good.

Scrape the soil away from the molehill until you can see the run, then drop a mothball in it. Do this at every molehill.

At first sign of the mole putting up stand over said molehill with 12g shotgun, realease one barrel into it and that should cure the problem

Not a good idea near conservatories or green houses as the resultant debris could break windows
