kiwi is on a distinguished road
Default bugs & more bugs!

Autumn time here in New Zealand now. All the bugs are out in full force to destroy whats left of my veg garden too.
I've planted out my winter brassicas and noticed the aphids starting to set up camp on the tender new leaves. The white fly are having a field day! and still the pesky, white, cabbage butterfly are laying copious amounts of little eggs on my wee plants I've tried to control the bugs with neem oil & pyrethrin sprays but I still think manually rubbing them out with the fingers is the only reason i'm not loosing ground to them. It is a bit tricky to remove the aphids on the tender new growth without causing damage though. I am interested to here what others do to control aphids and white fly?

i'm thinking about trying some of those sticky yellow cards that trap the bugs.

The white cabbage butterfly will disappear soon with the cooler weather thank god!
