Default shiny green metalic beetle???

hey ye...i have rhubard in and it is gettin eating alive,the place is covered with shiny green matalic beetles....do you think that it is them that is doing the damage? and if so how do i get rid of them?

Hi Darren, they sound like green dock leaf beetles. If they are, there will be yellow eggs underneath the leaves and also black larvae. You need to keep picking the beetles, eggs and larvae off the rhubarb leaves.

i love beetles...sorry to hear they are causing you trouble

please be gentle/nice/compassionate in 'dealing' with them
