Default What's this? plus cool moths

On my strawberries today I found a little caterpillar thing, anyone know what it might be?

The other day I found these in my greenhouse:


Buff Ermine Moth apparently, very friendly.




I found the female laying her eggs on my dwarf runner bean this morning.. I'm not going to kill them though. I can share.

these pictures are amazing, very skilled!!!

i think its really admirable how patient and nice your being, i love moths and wouldnt be able to harm them either

Ooh thank you. It's just my compact camera on macro mode.. I'm itching to buy a digital SLR though.

I'm afraid the snails have felt my wrath over the last few weeks and have bungeed over the wall without a cord

hehe well im less generous still with the slugs and snails...i use pellets

they are organic ones tho so dont pass up the food chain but i still feel bad putting them down

the picture where the moth is looking straight at the camara is simply exellent!!

I just found this in my greenhouse as well, sucking the life out of greenfly (yay)

I think it's a Hoverfly lavae
