Default Tomato Leaves....

I mentioned in another thread that I had something going on with one of my cherry tomato plants and was advized to post pictures. Well after tinkering around with my camera, I got it working and here are said pictures:

As you can see the leaves are really dry looking and curling inwards as well as the light patches

Thank you for taking the time to take a look and help me out

Hi Scottishbaby84,

I have had a quick look on the net, and came across something called "Alfalfa Mosaic Virus" which affects the leaves on tom plants.
A link below for you to view, hope it helps, cheers stupo

thank you for helping me. Though I'm not sure.....the pic you posted certainly looks the same but my plant has looked like that for a while now, its not getting any worse, or any better and its still producing tomatoes which look healthy.....Plus, its only affecting the top leaves, surely virus would affect the whole plant?

I be confuzzled

Hi ScottishB, this one has had me puzzled!! Tomato plants can be temperamental and the leaves are very sensitive to changes in the conditions around them. Have the leaves on the plant changed at all since you took the photo? A new up to date photo would be good for comparison and a photo of the underside of the leaves please. Have you had weed killer or Glyphosate anywhere near the plant or has your neighbour used any? Tomato plants only need a sniff of the stuff to be affected - even storing a bottle of weed killer / Glyphosate next to them can affect the leaves. Typically the leaves at the top of the plant would have yellow blotches on them. I can't see it being a virus because it would have spread to more of the plant by now. The Alfalfa virus affects the mature leaves first.
