Default courgette flowers

hi iv'e got some black beetles in my courgette flowers .. i've washed em out with some soapy water but what were they ?
they were smallish hard and shiny any help ' they seem too of snuffed it so no real rush just wondered what they were .

Hi Whorlicks, they sound just like pollen beetles and really they don't do any harm - just be certain to wash the flowers out before dipping into batter to deep fry!
