Default Slug/snail attack

Over the weekend I discovered one of my pots of cucumber seedlings had lost all its leaves to the slime mongers! So I sprinkled it and the other pot with tons of egg shells and yet today the other pot is leafless Is there any possibility of reshooting leaves or is replanting the only way now?

if the growth tip is in tact then there's a chance, if the slugs have eaten it just bin them and start again.
