Could it be Crickets?

Hello, im new to this forum and not sure how to attach a photo of the bug im going to describe to you, im wondering if anyone can help, the bug is brown up to about an inch long and i was wanting to know if it could be a Cricket? if so do they do any damage to veg as i have them inside my polytunnel. I have had a look on google but ours seem to be bigger and wider than those shown. It looks like it has wings flat down on its back.

I can send a pic by email if need be.Unless i find how to do it at the end.

sure looks like a cricket, this is pic i got from the net and they look pretty similar, also they are Omniverous - i think that means they will eat anything.

Thanks alot Hammer for the reply, its funny though because nothing seems to be getting eaten or attacked in the poly tunnel.I do get rid whenever i find them just in case.Many thanks from joandjim

I used to keep spiders when I was a few years younger and im certain this is a cricket! (thats what they were fed on!)
