Hi there,
I have a pinot noir grape vine growing some roots in my greenhouse. On the stem, and underside of the leaved there are numberous small clear (v.slightly opaque) spheres. Possible some kind of egg I guess. Does anybody know what this may be, and what is the best way to manage this problem. Thank you! |

Hi there. I found the same on two pinot noir vines this morning they are potted too like yours and in a greenhouse, none on two other vines they are black hamburg I have no idea what they are the vines are young, I think I managed to pick them all off, I wonder would a spray of nicotine or garlic tea protect the vine from these thats if they are eggs. they could be something else.

Hi both and welcome to our forum. Grapevines do produce sap balls which is what your mistery eggs could be. A photo would be really helpful.
