Default Potato damage
help... I am new to the forum and new to gardening. I have just dug up some of my potatoes and found some of them had white spots on. They look like pimples that are oozing liquid out. Does anyone know what they are and if they are safe to eat.

No photos I'm afraid but I have done some research and it appears to be the lenticles caused by standing water.
