Does anyone know whats wrong with this tree

Hello,
Can anybody help me with whats wrong with this tree as you can see its all green round the bottom and all the leaves are dead, there is three trees in a row and two are fine and all three where surrounded by weeds and flowers
please reply before my uncle decides to take it away

Hi Tommy. Just from your pics it may be scale (the white spots on the trunk) or possibly a type of blight (the dried up folliage) but my first choice would be some type of canker. If it's scale you could probably save it by doing a spray treatment next year but I'm sorry to say that if it's one of the later you may want to remove it before it affects the other trees. If you know an arborist he or she may be able to give you better advice than I can. Good luck with the tree, it's a cute little thing.
