Default squash blossoms?

Does anyone know how to preserve squash blossoms? They are almost ready to trim off but I don't want to use them until later this week. Any help much appreciated!

I always thought that the flowers needed to be eaten as soon as they were picked but on the BBC Good Food site they recommend storing the flowers in a zip-lock plastic bag in the crisper section of the fridge and eat within 3 days.

Corrie what do the blossoms taste like? Have you got a favourite way to serve them?
