Default Making pickles

The little leaf cucumbers in the greenhouse are really coming on strong, so I am making dill pickles in a crock, with LOTS of garlic.

That pickle looks delicious. What is your secret? I hate cucumbers, but love pickles. I have never thought to grow cucumbers for sake of making pickles.
